How to use SPX gamma levels in TradingView
A step-by-step routine to plot daily gamma levels on your SPX or ES chart and frame the session before the open.
Daily gamma levels are only useful if they are on your chart before the open. Here is a simple routine that takes a couple of minutes.
Step 1: get the levels
Open the SPX Evolution dashboard and pick your instrument. You get futures prices for ES and NQ, and index prices for SPX and NDX. Use the set that matches the chart you trade.
Step 2: plot them
Copy the levels and add them as horizontal lines. Colour them by role so you can read them at a glance: resistance walls, support walls, the HVL, and any magnets.
- Call resistance and put support as your outer rails.
- The HVL as your regime line.
- Magnets as intraday targets.
Step 3: build a pre-market read
Note where price opens relative to the HVL and which wall is closest. That single sentence, price is above the HVL and below the call wall, already frames your day.
Step 4: reassess on refresh
Levels are recalculated through the session. When the dashboard refreshes, update your lines so your map stays current. The download keeps the time of each refresh in the file name.
